Fishburn Hedges wins online payment brief
Online payment firm: Fishburn Hedges retained
Alec Mattinson 21-Nov-08
Fishburn Hedges has been appointed by online payment firm Moneybookers as its retained PR agency.
The account, which spans corporate, financial and consumer PR, will be headed by Andy Berry, co-head of the financial practice. The agency will be tasked with raising the profile of Moneybookers within its key target markets.
Moneybookers, established in 2001 and last year sold to Investcorp Technology Partners for €105m, allows payments and money transfers over the internet. The company is keen to boost its presence in the sector, highlighting the security advantages it believes it has over the likes of PayPal.
It now has in excess of 5.5 million account holders and serves more than 20,000 merchants worldwide, including Skype and AOL.
Martin Ott, co-chief executive of Moneybookers, said that the Fishburn Hedges' ability to offer an integrated service across all aspects of the brief was one of the deciding factors in its decision to hand it the account.
